At our DogsZone Real World Training Classes we aim to make sure you successfully learn great training techniques so that you feel confident and happy with your dog's manners in the home, the shops, at a friend's house, the beach or the park, in another words, in the Real World.

We have a high trainer to dog ratio so you are assured of getting more individual attention. Our classes are fun and full of interesting ways to learn and once you taken a class you can repeat that same class anytime at no additional cost.

We offer the following classes:

Puppy Socialisation Class Age 8 to 16 weeks

This is a 4 week course that covers Real World basics for the home and beyond.

You will learn how to: (Note: Content may vary)

• Have a puppy that can play nicely with other dogs
• Have a puppy that learns not to bite people or other dogs
• Have a dog who understands basic commands
• Have a house trained dog that toilets outside your home
• Have a settled happy and calm puppy
• Know what is scary for your dog and how to deal with it

Classes held at Franklin Veterinary Associates, Papakura.

Real World Puppy Manners. 20 weeks – 10 months

This is a 5-6 week course to learn or consolidate previously learnt behaviours, to give ongoing vital socialisation and to teach other behaviours outside of the home environment.

You will learn how to: (Note: Content may vary)

• Have a puppy with good manners, sitting nicely and waiting
• Have a dog who focuses on you and listens to your commands
• Have a settled happy and calm puppy
• Enjoy a walk with your puppy without pulling
• Get great focus and have your dog come every time
• Have a dog that greets & meets you and visitors calmly
• Have control of your puppy wherever you go.
• Understand how problem behaviours start and how to correct them

Dogszone Basic Manners for the Real World Age - 10 months to any age

A 6 week course designed to get you a relaxed, well controlled dog that you can happily take any place. Classes are run in a fun and entertaining way so that you and your dog are not bored. Some of these sessions may take place outside the classroom environment.

You will learn how to: (Note: Content may vary)

• Understand how your dog learns
• Enjoy a dog with good manners, sitting nicely and waiting
• Have a dog that focuses on you and listens to your commands
• Enjoy a walk with your puppy without pulling
• Get great focus and have your dog come every time
• Have a dog that greets & meets you and visitors calmly
• Have control of your dog wherever you go.
• Work at your dog's level

Classes are not taught in a typical classroom environment but are designed to prepare you for Real World situations so that you can easily solve any issues that come up in any environment and you'll have fun!

DogsZone Click for Tricks - 6 months to any age

Prerequisite: Basic manners for the Real World or other basic training

A 4 week class designed to teach your dog tricks and keep him/her mentally stimulated. As your dog learns, you will also learn more about how training works for your dog and helps you to understand the methods of basic learning theory that your dog understands. This course includes games and fun activities to do with your dog.

Only $100

Mini Classes

These classes are 2-3 weeks and focus on one particular aspect of training. They are designed for the well behaved dog that may have only one particular behavioural issue.

Most common are:

• Recall
• Loose Leash Walking
• Jumping up
• Sit, Down, Stay

These classes may be held outside the classroom setting and could be in the park at a café or other Real World place.

Only $50-75

All our training is stimulating to your dog and helps build a stronger bond between you and your dog. The more training you do with your dog the quicker and easier he/she will learn new lessons.

We offer free support for life by phone or email to any dog we visit and free repeat classes.
